This project was a unique project due to the complexity of the existing conditions, and it sitting within the Haberfield Heritage Conseravation Area. Due to my role being to take an existing approved DA from Filmer Architects, however they had retired and refereed the request for an amendment to the DA to Studio Parisi Architects, who contracted me to prepare a S4.55 amendment to the original approved DA proposal. In addition the the S4.55, we where required to develop a CC set of documentation as the DA was due to expire.
The two key interventions we where proposing in the S4.55, was a minor increase to the approved loft bedroom suite, to provide a full bath with a tub. As well an internal access from the existing garage to the relocated internal stairs (DA Approved). This was more difficult to achieve as we had to account for the changes in level across the site, and consult with the planners at council on the best approach as this is usually an exuded item from the allowable developments in the area.
