Ingham Avenue

This second storey addition was to an existing Californian Bungalow. The owners wanted to go up with an in keeping style at the front and a modern twist to the rear. The key concern was around wanting the living spaces to flow together and also provide them with a larger master suite.

The design became focused around providing an extended living area that remained connected to the existing rear kitchen and dining. This resulted in locating the stairs in an old study and utilising the area below the stairs for a butlers pantry. Above the layout was to be a modern version of the existing front of the house, with a master suite being created for the Clients to have more of a parents retreat.

I was engaged for the concept design phase and a Design and Construct firm took it through the approvals process.
