The Team

David Cordato

Principal/ Nominated Architect

(Reg 12894 NSW)

As the principal architect, I aim to be both a creator and a guide. After working for over 10 years in the various roles in the building industry, I have started my own practice that focuses on more tailored designs for my clients. My role is not just about designing structures, but about shaping spaces that elevate the human experience. Every project is an opportunity to balance creativity with functionality, art with practicality, and vision with reality. I’m deeply invested in the details, from the way light pours into a room to how a buildings materials interacts with its context. I like to work in a small team of architects and consultants, who together turn ideas into built forms. It’s a responsibility I take seriously, but it’s also a privilege to make peoples dreams a reality.

Karina Alzate

In my role as associate, I have collaborated on the larger and more involved projects. As I continue to work in a larger practice, working in a smaller team here, I am able to get to be involved in every stage of the design process. It’s the kind of environment where I’m constantly learning and growing. I love the hands on approach we have here, when we had to go to Kythera in Greece for our site visit, I was able to gain a better understanding of the context and the surrounding vernacular architecture.

Studio Support

As a professional who has found my place in this office, from the soft hum of computers, to the rustling of plans, it's all so calming. There’s nothing quite like the satisfaction of watching the team sketch out grand designs, knowing I’m there to offer moral support with a perfectly timed purr. My favorite part, though, is the attention, when the work gets intense, I provide much-needed breaks with my perfectly executed stretches and adorable naps. Truly, architecture is a field where I thrive, especially if there’s a cozy spot to curl up in.
